Reimagining Finance—For Good! Meet Jasmine Rashid

FEATURED SPEAKER | JASMINE RASHID

How can we keep wealth circulating within our communities and ensure financial systems work for everyone?

Join us for an evening with Jasmine Rashid (she/her) author, strategist, and advocate for economic justice. A New York-raised, Oakland-based Bangladeshi-American, Jasmin is dedicated to reimagining finance as a tool for social good. As Director of Impact at Candide Group, she helps direct capital to women- and BIPOC-led businesses, funds, and organizations that drive economic justice. She previously played a key role in the Families Belong Together coalition, successfully shifting billions away from private prisons and migrant detention centers.

Jasmine’s book, The Financial Activist Playbook, offers a practical guide to using money as a force for equity and change. Drawing from her research and lived experience, she’ll explore how we can rethink traditional financial systems to prioritize people over profit and create more just, sustainable communities.

Enjoy delicious food and wine, engage in thought-provoking conversation, and connect with like-minded individuals committed to meaningful change.
